Ozgur Yilmaz

Ozgur Yilmaz is the Director of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences and a professor of mathematics at the University of British Columbia. His research is primarily in the area of mathematics of information and data, He received the PhD degree in applied and computational mathematics from Princeton University in 2001. He serves in the editorial boards of Applied and Computational Harmonic Analysis and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. At UBC he is also affiliated with the Institute of Applied Mathematics (IAM) and the Institute for Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS). He also serves in the Executive Committee of the UBC Data Science Institute.
